Joe Biden is “empowering the drug cartels” with lax Southern Border policies, a former Arizona Attorney General has claimed.

The US President is under fire for the levels of migration into the US, with record numbers crossing the US-Mexico border.

Agents are said to be encountering 10,000 migrants a day with many being sent to sanctuary cities in the US.

According to Brnovich, drug cartels are making “record profits” thanks to Biden.

“It’s costing us record money”, he said.

“Not only in terms of finance, whether it’s with education, whether it’s with schools, whether it’s with healthcare.

“I also worry about it empowering the drug cartels. They are making record profits.

“I worry that Mexico is on the brink of becoming a failed state.”

It comes after Joe Biden sparked outrage by comparing Donald Trump to Hitler after his comments about immigration.

Trump had warned that illegal immigration was “poisoning the blood” of the United States during an event in Durham, New Hampshire.

"They're poisoning the blood of our country," he said.

"They poison mental institutions and prisons all over the world. Not just in South America, not just in three or four countries that we think about, but all over the world.

"They're coming into our country from Africa, from Asia, all over the world."

Trump used the same "poisoning the blood" language during an interview with The National Pulse, a right-leaning website, that was published in late September.

Biden's comparison has caused a backlash online, with some warning that more care should be taken when comparing political opponents to the Nazi leader.
