Elon Musk’s X platform, formerly known as Twitter, is the last bastion of hope in the battle against Big Tech’s “distorted version of consciousness”, Ashley St Clair has claimed.
The business mogul completed his acquisition of Twitter in October 2022 and has vowed to uphold the principle of free speech.
Speaking on GB News America, St Clair said the move was “fundamental” for the freedom of citizens, arguing it is the “only” social media firm that facilitates free speech.
The political commentator warned that “artificial generalised intelligence” is “inevitable”, meaning figureheads like Elon Musk are growing of increasing importance.

Speaking on the state of free speech in America currently, St Clair said it is “certainly under fire”.
“We are doing everything we can to fight back against this”, she added.
“One of the big turning points for this and for humanity as a whole, was Elon Musk buying X.
“For those who don’t realise how fundamental that is for our freedom, it is now the only social media company that allows free speech.
“Truly, the only things they will ban are things that are against the law.”
Musk’s $44 billion purchase was met with criticism, with suggestions hate speech was on the rise on the platform as a result of his lax attitude to regulation.

But according to St Clair, Musk has afforded society with an “honest version” of humanity.
“It is fundamental that we feed the system with an honest version of humanity”, she said.
“That starts with free speech and being able to say everything that you want, everything that’s on your mind, instead of this distorted version of consciousness that big tech is trying to push on us.”

According to St Clair, the problem is the “top issue” amongst Americans.
“Nobody seems to be doing anything substantial”, she argued.
“We need to hold the Biden administration accountable because this is a very administrations specific issue.”
