Ben Carson drops VP hint as Trump ramps up campaign: 'I will help save my country'

Ben Carson has hinted he would be interested in running as Donald Trump's running mate.

Carson, who was a US Secretary throughout Trump's time in office, has long been backed to take up the role.

Trump is far and away the main contender for the Republican nomination with just Nikki Haley still in the race.
