Ben Carson expects Donald Trump to win the US election and thinks Democrats feel the same way.
Speaking on GBN America, the former US Secretary said it explains why the Democrats are “pulling out all the stops” to halt Donald Trump’s progress.
He refers to the litany of legal issues Trump faces which are proving to be his only major stumbling block on the way to the Republican candidacy nomination.
The 77-year-old faces 91 charges across four separate cases along with several civil matters.

Carson says Trump’s legal woes are a case of the Democrats using the justice system to “obliterate” their opponent.
“They’re pulling out every stop imaginable”, he said.
“The American people are smarter than they think they are. They know that even if they don’t like Trump, if we allow them to use the justice system to obliterate their opponent, America will never be the same again.”
Nigel Farage interjected to say the party “want him in prison”, with Carson then suggesting he would get “Epstein treatment” behind bars.

Asked whether the idea of becoming Vice President appeals to him, he said: “Let me put it this way.
“I’m going to do everything I can to help save our country.”
The Supreme Court is set to decide if the former president is immune from prosecuted on charges of trying to overturn the 2020 election.

The 6-3 conservative majority court decided to hear Trump’s claims that he should be shielded from criminal liability.
A US Court of Appeals panel rejected Trump’s argument that he has presidential immunity.
He claimed in the legal case that he was immune from all criminal charges for acts he believes came as part of his role of president.
The appeals court ruled unanimously against him, writing: "We cannot accept former President Trump's claim that a president has unbounded authority to commit crimes that would neutralise the most fundamental check on executive power - the recognition and implementation of election results."
