Mist and fog patches clearing fairly quickly, then a day of sunny intervals, but also variable, often large amounts of cloud. Showers in the northwest, whilst scattered showers, some heavy, will develop across England and Wales.
Tonight:
Showers gradually fading, then some clear spells, allowing patchy frost and fog to develop over Northern Ireland and Scotland. Low cloud forming over parts of northeast England.
Wednesday:
Most parts dry with variable cloud and sunny spells, although a few showers possible in the north and west. Some low cloud and coastal mist for eastern Scotland.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
A lot of dry but mostly cloudy weather. Becoming cooler than of late with isolated showers and some hill rain. Becoming windy. More organised rain/showers across the south on Saturday.
