A man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, Metropolitan Police said

Two men have been stabbed in the car park of London's Chessington World of Adventures.

The pair sustained injuries at around 2.35pm, with one man being taken to hospital with stab wounds.


The second man was also admitted to hospital after being found nearby with minor injuries.

A third man was arrested by the Metropolitan Police on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH).

It is believed that the three men involved in the incident in Kingston-upon-Thames knew each other.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Police were called at 2.36pm on Thursday, August 22, to reports of two injured people at an adventure park in Chessington.

"Officers and London Ambulance Service [LAS] attended. A man was found on a nearby road with minor injuries.

"A second man was found in a car park with knife wounds. A third male was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm [GBH].

"At this stage, we believe that all of the men are known to each other and that nobody else was involved.

"The injured parties were taken to hospital. We await an update on the condition of the man with knife injuries.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman added: "We were called at 2.43pm on Thursday, August 22, to reports of a stabbing on Leatherhead Road, Chessington.

"We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

"We treated two people at the scene and took one patient to a major trauma centre."

A Chessington World of Adventures spokesperson said: "An isolated incident involving three guests occurred in the car park this afternoon.

"The Emergency Services were immediately alerted and the resort’s fully trained First Aid team administered care until ambulance teams arrived.

"We are fully supporting the Metropolitan Police with their investigation."
