A drunk man has been jailed after suddenly "glassing" another man on the head and later telling Tesco staff members.
Shaun Hall caused a "nasty" injury after pestering the man and his partner in a pub in Driffield, East Yorkshire in June last year.
Hull Crown Court heard that the victim saw Hall - who he knew from a previous job - inside the The Buck pub in Driffield at 4.30pm.
Jennifer Gatland, prosecuting said the 43-year-old approached the couple and came up close to their faces and put his arms around them.

They said they felt uncomfortable and left between 8.30 and 9pm, before returning at 9.30pm on the assumption that he had left.
The court heard that Hall reappeared and once again came close to their faces before he put his arms around the woman's waist and told the man: "I'm not that into your missus."
The man told Hall to step away and warned him: "Will you just f*** off? You're making us feel uncomfortable."
After the woman left, Hall picked up a pint glass and threw it at the man's face.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
He tried to punch the man before a security guard intervened and pushed Hall away.
Following the incident, Hall told staff in a nearby Tesco that he had just glassed someone.
He said: "He had been winding me up for an hour and I just lost my s**t."
The victim was left needing 11 external and two internal stitches and with a scar on his forehead.
Hall had convictions for nine previous offences, including assaults and assaulting police.

PA IMAGESJudge Mark Bury told Hall: "You gave him no warning that you were going to strike him. You were almost turning away and then you turned back quickly and swiped this glass across his head. You tried to punch him.
"This incident was broken up by other people in the public house. He will have a nasty scar on his forehead and he is anxious about the thought of meeting you in a public house again.
"This was a serious incident involving a weapon in a public house. If you use a weapon in a public house, causing a nasty injury, you can't really expect to avoid going to prison, particularly if you have got a record.
"You simply can't behave like this without being punished appropriately."
