A woman claims she was banned from Tesco for refusing to use the self checkout machines.
Sue Crossley said she was barred after she asked employees to serve her at a regular till at a Tesco Express on Jubilee Street, Brighton.
The 67-year-old said she had difficulties using the self-service tills and prefers staff to help her on traditional ones.
She had also complained that she wanted to pay with cash, but the self checkouts only took card.

“I do not like self checkouts,” she told The Argus.
“Sometimes I want to pay with cash and they all take card.”
Crossley claimed staff refused to serve her on manned checkouts, and said Tesco banned her after a confrontation.
She said: “They say they're friendly and helpful and they will help you with the manned till.”

“They were so rude to me; I was not particularly nice to them. 'It was all an escalation of asking to use the manned till.”
The 67-year-old said she was banned from the store two years ago following the incident but has since doubled down on her defiance of self checkouts.
She said she still visits the Tesco Express: “I still go in there but I sneak round.”

The Tesco Express stores in Jubilee Street and Queens Road in Brighton have 80 per cent of their checkouts designated as self-service, a study suggests.
Commenting on this, a Tesco spokesman said: “Our colleagues and the friendly service they provide are absolutely vital to our stores, and will always be on hand to help our customers, whatever time of day, whether they are checking out at one of our colleague-operated or self-service checkouts.”
