Tesco shoppers in a Cotswolds village were left stunned this weekend when an SUV smashed into one of the supermarket's windows.
Emergency services descended on the scene in Yate, Gloucestershire, to discover a Vauxhall Grandland surrounded by broken glass with a spate of damage in its wake.
Police and ambulance services were at the scene - while images on social media showed several firefighters attempting to rescue the vehicle.
A South Western Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 9.54am on Saturday, February 22 to an incident in Yate.

"We sent one double-crewed land ambulance and an operations officer to the scene."
And though the supermarket remained open as normal, fire crews appeared unable to gain access to the car park to rescue the car.
"How many fire officers does it take to remove a Vauxhall Grandland from the window in Tesco's at Yate?" asked one local.

"Another one? That car park is a death trap," she said.

Just eight days prior, an Asda lorry appeared to have attempted to drive through the car park when its entire rear end was scraped off its cargo bed by the low ceiling.
Dramatic images from the scene showed the Asda lorry in pieces.
And though its cabin remained intact, its load was seen strewn across the floor of the rival supermarket chain.
