A major incident has been declared after residents reported hearing a loud bang
Three people have been taken to hospital while one person remains unaccounted for following an explosion in Swansea, South Wales Police said.
The huge explosion ripped through a home, flattening the property and leaving other nearby homes seriously damaged.
Emergency services attended the scene following unconfirmed reports of a gas explosion.
It has been claimed that up to 20 houses were damaged in the explosion, but this is yet to be confirmed.
Reports emerged after people living in Swansea claimed they heard a loud bang that made their houses "shake".

A house exploded on Clydach Road near Cwm Arian, Swansea and was completely destroyed, according to local Facebook groups.
Currently, there has been no confirmation of any casualties.
Some living in the Morriston area of the city said their homes shook while others said they heard an "enormous loud bang in Clydach".
Leader of Swansea Council, Rob Stewart tweeted: "A major incident has been declared after a suspected gas explosion in Morriston. Emergency teams are responding. It is not known at this time if there are any injuries or fatalities."
He added: "My thoughts are with the residents at this moment from what looks like an extremely serious incident, as we try and establish if everyone is safe. Our teams are onsite and working with the emergency services."
One local resident said they "heard a bang, saw a gust of smoke and roof tiles from a house go up in the air", according to Wales Online.
A statement from South Wales Police said: "Emergency services are responding to an incident on the junction of Field Close and Clydach Road in Morriston. Please avoid the area whilst we deal with the incident."
A local fire service has also confirmed they are attending the scene, and have asked the public to avoid the Clydach Road area while this incident is ongoing.
