Political commentator Aman Bhogal has accused establishment media of "demonising" the English flag, as Britons celebrate their patron saint on St George's Day.
Thousands across the country took to the streets today in celebration of the historic English holiday.
In his message to mark the occasion, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer called for the nation to "reclaim the flag". He said: "What we must do for our country, for English decency, honour and fairness.
"Wrench it out of the hands of those who want to divide this nation and reclaim it for good."

Discussing St George's Day on GB News, Aman Bhogal claimed that Britons should be "proud to call this great civilisational nation our home", but "division" is "being peddled" by people such as the Prime Minister.
Bhogal explained: "This is my flag, this is your flag, this is our flag, and it is under this cross of St George that we are united, and proudly call this great civilisational nation our home - and we should be proud of this England of ours.
"This green and pleasant land is the land of the inventors and the innovators, and we don't need any more division being peddled by the Prime Minister, Keir Starmer."
Hitting out at the Labour leader, Bhogal accused the Prime Minister of "politicising" the flag and "reassign the flag away" from the "common man".

Sir Keir Starmer called for the nation to 'reclaim the flag' in his St George's Day message
PABhogal told GB News: "I think he's trying to reassign this great flag of ours away from the common man and woman by politicising it on a day like this.
"This flag unites us together to call this place home, because it is not the flag of the far right thugs, and it's not the flag of the far left thugs."
He added: "It is the flag of every common man and woman who is proud to call this land home, so I don't think any Prime Minister needs to sort of reaffirm that."
Hailing the patriotism felt on St George's Day, Bhogal called on all public institutions to "fly the flag", and Wales and Scotland should be doing the same.

Bhogal stated: "He should be telling us not just on St George's Day, he should be telling us every single day of the year that we should be flying our national flag, the Union flag, from all schools.
"Certainly I think the flag of England should be flying from all schools and public buildings in England, and likewise in Scotland and in Wales and in Northern Ireland."
Hitting out at "establishment media", Bhogal claimed that the flag has been "demonised" by them: "I would argue that certainly over the last 20 odd years, the elite establishment has has demonised the sight of this very flag.
"Whenever we hear about the flag of England, we always hear of football louts or the far right carrying it. No, the very fact is the elite establishment and the establishment media are the ones who have demonised this great flag of ours."
