Southport stabbing: Steve Rotheram says rioters were ‘doing the opposite of showing solidarity’

Mayor of the Liverpool City Region Steve Rotheram has hit out at rioters in Southport, saying they were not there to show solidarity with families who lost children in a crazed stabbing attack.

A police van was set on fire and objects were hurled at officers after a vigil.
