A furious trans row broke out on GB News this morning over shocking reports suggesting a schoolboy has been allowed to identify as a wolf.
The pupil claims to suffer from “species dysphoria”, a non-clinical condition in which an individual claims their body belongs to a different species.
GB News hosts Andrew Pierce and Bev Turner were left perplexed, alongside broadcaster Clare Muldoon.
But political commentator Jonathan Lis offered a counter view, saying such issues need to be addressed with sensitivity.

“I don’t know why we are talking about this on national television”, said Lis.
“This is an attempt by people who viciously hate trans people putting out a story making it look ridiculous. It makes it look ridiculous, preposterous and obscene.

“It’s the equivalent of what happened 20 years ago when I was told, ‘if two men can marry, why can’t two dogs?’”
Bev hit back to say “not one person” present on the GB News panel “hates” trans people.
Muldoon waded in: “If there was a debate on a trans issue and one of the stations brought in someone who identified as a furry, trans people would be up in arms.
“The reason we’re talking about it is, children are being indulged and children are falling down a horrible rabbit hole and while they are down there, they might want to identify as one of them as well.

“This is about safeguarding children and getting the status quo back up and running.”
Lis said: “We don’t know if the child has special needs”, to which Bev countered: “If you’re 12-years-old and you said to your parents ‘I think I’m a wolf’, what would they have said?”
He responded to say he is “not the child in question” and refused to directly answer the question.
“We don’t know what is happening in this school. We don’t know who this child is or where the school is”, he added.
“What a nightmare for the teacher”, Andrew chimed in, before hitting out at Lis.
“I can’t believe you’re defending this.”
Official documents seen by the Daily Mail are said to recognise that the student now identifies as an animal.
The local authority, which has not been disclosed, said the pupil belonged to a group who called themselves “furries” and identified with an “animal persona”.
