A prison escapee, revealed to have been jailed for drug offences, is still on the loose more than a week after he absconded prison.
GB News can now reveal that Elliot Riley – who fled HMP Kirkham last Tuesday – is still on the run, despite more than a week-long police search.
When asked for an update, Lancashire Police told us there was "no update", and that it "looks like he’s still outstanding".
Moreover, the Ministry of Justice has now also confirmed that Riley was "serving a sentence for drug dealing".

GB NewsLast Tuesday, October 22, the 31-year-old was seen jumping over the prison’s boundaries and being driven away from the site in a black vehicle.
It was later acknowledged this was indeed an abscondment, despite Kirkham being a Category D facility.
The Ministry of Justice told GB News at the time: "We’re urgently working with the police to recapture this prisoner.
"Absconds are rare, but those who break the rules face tough consequences including being moved to closed conditions and extra jail time."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
On Friday, Lancashire Police gave an update on the identity of the previously unknown prisoner.
They said: "We have been made aware that 31-year-old Elliot Riley absconded from HMP Kirkham on 22nd October 2024.
"Enquiries are ongoing to locate him. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting log 657 of 22nd October 2024. For immediate sightings call 999."
