Depraved trans sex predator jailed after abducting and raping schoolgirl, 14, at knifepoint

Smith admitted rape, attempted rape, false imprisonment, committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence, threatening another with a blade, false imprisonment, causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent, and breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The rapist, who uses they/them pronouns and suffers from “gender issues,” attacked the schoolgirl as she walked to school through a nature area.

During 45 minutes, the porn addict forced her to a secluded woodland where Smith subjected her to “gratuitous threats of violence” and raped her.

When the terrified and crying girl tried to escape, Smith chased after her, covered her mouth and threatened to stab her in the throat.

The court heard that Smith planned the attack, scoping out the woods, wearing gloves and washing the victim in a river afterwards.

The rapist also had a “deeply disturbing” manifesto, and had already been convicted of voyeurism and processing child abuse images nine months prior, but escaped jail.

After the horrible attack, Smith fled 600 miles away to Scotland but could not go any further as he did not have a passport.

Prosecutor Simon Foster said Smith had waited in the woods for half an hour before the girl arrived.

Foster said: “The defendant was at the scene some time before she [the schoolgirl] entered the woods.”

“He must have either been waiting for her - she said she had seen someone like him standing in the woods on her walks to school - or he was waiting for someone like her.”

In her police interview, the girl said the man approached her, pulled out a box cutter and said “you are coming with me”.

She said: “I told him 'what the f*** are you doing? I'm a 14-year-old girl, get off me. He put his hand over my mouth so I could not scream anymore.”

“He said if I tried to run or scream again he would put this knife into your neck... I didn't want to die.”

After the attack, Smith forced the girl to be washed by him in a river, then allowed her to leave.

The girl fled and immediately contacted her mother and was found “distressed” by a dog walker.

Smith immediately took a train to London, then a train to Edinburgh, then travelled to Mallaig, where then arrested.

A search of the rapist’s home revealed Smith had a “deeply disturbing manifesto” planning the attack, outlining disguises and witnesses.

The court heard that Smith was a porn addict, who spent time on online chatrooms and had no friends.

The girl's parents, who attended court, said in their statement their world has been “shattered beyond belief”, saying their daughter has become “a shell of her former self”.

Judge Newton-Price KC called Smith a “danger to women”, and said the attack involved degradation and humiliation.
