A free bus service is laid on daily to transport around 500 migrants from the Bibby Stockholm in and out of Portland Port
Portland resident, Kate Robson left GB News host Patrick Christys in shock when she revealed that there are "mass baptisms occurring on the beach" in Weymouth.
Speaking to GB News, Robson said: "We're having some mass baptisms here as well. I've heard that there were 20 baptised on Weymouth beach last week."
Patrick, left gobsmacked, said: " So you're hearing of mass baptisms? We can't confirm this now we'll look into it. You said 20 of them were baptised off the coast last week?"
She said: "We know six were baptised a few weeks ago, but I've heard from a reliable source today that there was a mass baptism on Weymouth beach and Weymouth Baptist Church is justifying this."
It has recently been revealed that some asylum seekers convert to Christianity to stay in the country.
This comes as a free bus service is laid on daily to transport around 500 migrants from the Bibby Stockholm in and out of Portland Port in Dorset.
Once they have left the port asylum seekers are free to roam around Weymouth, Portland and beyond. They also have access to local services, including a GP.
