GB News presenter Patrick Christys was embroiled in a tense clash with author and writer Rebecca Reid after she claimed Britain is a ‘racist and intolerant society’.
It comes after a review warned the British public faces an increased threat of terrorism, something Patrick says is symptomatic of a society that breeds terror.
Reid hit back in a claim branded ‘astonishing’ by Patrick during the fiery discussion as she lamented what she perceives to be an intolerant Britain.
“We have a fundamentally racist and intolerant society”, she asserted.

Christys argued: “I find that absolutely staggering given we are not seeing protests on the streets about record levels of net migration year on year.
“We’re not seeing massive demonstrations on the streets about record numbers of people coming across the Channel despite the fact that in this very report we’re talking about, it says we’re importing terrorists.
“I’ve spoken to Robert Jenrick who is former Immigration Minister, he has seen behind the curtain and he could not be clearer that we are importing people who wish to, at times, blow us up.
“We are not an intolerant society, if anything we are importing people who are intolerant.”
Reid hit back, arguing there are ‘record levels’ of hate crime in Britain.
“We are an intolerant society in that there is an enormous problem with anti-Semitism in this country”, she said.

“There is an issue with Islamophobia, we have record levels of hate crimes.
“That is not to suggest everybody here is a racist. I’m not suggesting the Tories have done a great job with immigration, they have done an appalling job.
“No one is suggesting they are doing well, but I still think that if you are only looking at the Islamic part of terrorism, you are only looking at one piece of the puzzle.
“This is about only being able to radicalise people who are vulnerable.”
It is not just vulnerable people who are being radicalised, according to Christys, with others being ‘intimidated’ into potentially sickening acts.
“What is happening in our politics is people going door-to-door and asking how they are going to respond on Judgment Day”, he said.
“That is intolerable community pressure.”
The report suggested Prevent was failing to identify terrorist sympathisers in timely fashion and there was an increased risk in the UK due to the war in Gaza.
Prevent is a key part of the UK’s counter-terrorism strategy.
