After a failed attempt at resolving the issue through polite conversation, she devised a simple yet effective plan to teach the persistent offender a lesson

A woman has earned praise online for her clever revenge against a neighbour who repeatedly parked in her designated spot at her apartment complex.

The frustrated resident shared her experience on Reddit, explaining how she consistently found someone else's vehicle in her clearly marked space when returning from work.

Despite each flat having a corresponding parking bay in the complex, the neighbour continued to use her spot.

After a failed attempt at resolving the issue through polite conversation, she devised a simple yet effective plan to teach the persistent offender a lesson.

The woman initially had what she described as a "pleasant chat" with the culprit, who appeared friendly and apologised for taking her slot on one occasion.

"I have an assigned parking spot at my apartment complex. It's mine, clearly marked, no confusion," she explained in her Reddit post.

However, despite the seemingly amicable conversation, the neighbour continued to park in her designated space.

Growing increasingly frustrated with what she called his "repeated selfishness", she decided a more direct approach was needed.

MORE PARKING ROWS:

"I just parked directly behind him. Not blocking him in completely just close enough that he'd have to do a very awkward 17-point turn to get out," she revealed.

The woman then watched with delight as her plan unfolded perfectly.

"Took him a solid 5 minutes to escape, I was having the time of my life watching him struggle from my window," she recounted.

Her simple yet effective strategy made it increasingly difficult for the neighbour to continue using her space.

The woman's revenge tactic resonated with many Reddit users who praised her approach.

RedditThe distressed neighbour took to Reddit to complainPA

"That is the perfect way to handle this. Well done!" commented one user.

Another added: "I bet he wished he could make a U turn in time and park elsewhere. Petty parking perfection."

Others shared similar experiences, including one who worked night shifts and employed the same strategy.

Another Reddit user described deliberately taking their time to move their car when a parking spot thief needed to leave for work.

"He was patient but p****d... Eventually I move the car but he never parked there again," they wrote.
