It comes as the legendary 90s Britpop band have confirmed they will NOT be headlining next year's Glastonbury Festival

Oasis fans have been left disappointed after hotels hiked prices on weekends the band is set to play.

Noel and Liam Gallagher are set to play their first dates together since 2009 next year, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley in London, Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Croke Park in Dublin.

However, music fans hoping to get a city centre hotel are left struggling after prices surged after the dates were announced.

Demand is expected to be even greater for tickets as the band confirmed they would not be headlining next year's Glastonbury Festival, which could make this Saturday's ticket release date even more hotly contested.

The Holiday Inn Express in Edinburgh a week before the gigs costs £319 a night. While rooms have now sold out at the hotel, a music fan posted a screenshot on social media showing that rooms in the hotel were selling for £1,299 for two nights.

In Cardiff, a room at The Parkgate Hotel in the city centre is one of the options on Booking.com and will cost two adults for two nights a stonking £2,038.

Meanwhile, guests at the Maldron hotel in the Gallagher's home city of Manchester reported receiving a message from booking operators stating that their reservations could not be maintained due to a "technical error".

This occurred as affordable hotel rooms in and around the city quickly vanished from booking sites for the dates coinciding with Oasis's return, with remaining options seeing a significant price hike.

One social media user posted posted: "WARNING! Booked Maldron Hotel Manchester yesterday for 12th July 2025 – which was confirmed-just received this message cancelling our room! No rooms left and other hotel rooms triple the price!! Outrageous customer service!"

The message sent back to her reads: "We are writing to inform you of an issue with your booking at Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre.

"Due to a technical error, you have received confirmation for a booking that was not successfully made.

"Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate your booking at this time. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

"Our system will send a cancellation request, which we ask you to accept promptly. Please rest assured that no charges will be applied to your payment card."

Night time economy adviser for Greater Manchester, Sacha Lord said: "I’m being contacted by several people who booked your hotel for the Oasis concert, to say their rooms have just been cancelled and are now back up for three times the price. I’m sure this is a 'computer error'… easy to correct. Do the right thing."

A spokesperson for Maldron Hotels said in a statement: "Due to a technical error with our booking system on 26 & 27 August 2024, substantially more rooms were booked than were available for the nights of the Oasis concerts on 11/12/19/20 July 2025 at Maldron Hotel Manchester City and Maldron Hotel Cathedral Quarter.

"As a result, we are unable to honour all bookings made on these dates, and we are actively engaging with customers regarding their bookings. The hotels are currently not taking any bookings while we investigate the issue. This is not an attempt to resell rooms at inflated prices, rather an overbooking issue due to a technical error with our booking systems.

"Additionally, due to the same technical error, a small number of customers were able to book the rooms at a higher price later that evening. We will also be unable to accommodate these bookings. We will be honouring all bookings made prior to 26 August. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused."
