Central London County Court heard that over seven years, Sandra Eveno subjected her neighbour to 'almost unremitting shouting and screaming'

A dancer who made her yoga teacher neighbour's life "a misery" in an upmarket area of north London has been evicted and ordered to pay £15,000 in court costs.

Sandra Eveno subjected her upstairs neighbour Kristyan Robinson to seven years of harassment after moving into the downstairs flat in West Hampstead in 2015.

Central London County Court heard that Eveno embarked on a "deliberate campaign" of nuisance which Judge Alan Saggerson said had made the Robinson family's lives "almost intolerable".

The court heard Eveno subjected her neighbour to "almost unremitting shouting and screaming" and made repeated false allegations to Robinson's employers and police.

In one dramatic incident, when contractors attempted to divide their shared garden with a fence, Eveno lay down in the dirt to prevent its installation before attacking a worker with a tree branch.

The London Borough of Camden, Eveno's landlord, secured the eviction order after a four-day trial.

Judge Saggerson described Eveno as "irrational and aggressive" with an "almost phobic" dislike of her neighbour.

Among the incidents detailed in court, Eveno called one of Robinson's sons an "animal" and made grunting noises at him.

MORE NEIGHBOUR ROWS:

She falsely accused the Robinson family of involvement in gang violence and drug dealing, calling Robinson a "f**king disgusting woman."

In 2022, Eveno contacted Robinson's workplace, a local yoga centre, to repeat false allegations about criminal activity.

The court heard she repeatedly banged on her flat's ceiling "without any justification," dismissing her claim that it was in response to dog urine as "irrational and rather ludicrous."

Last July, Eveno brandished a stick at Robinson and "caught her" with it.

In her defence, Eveno denied most incidents occurred and claimed video and audio evidence had been doctored.

She also alleged Robinson had deliberately provoked her by holding noisy yoga classes upstairs.

However, Judge Saggerson dismissed these claims, stating Eveno was "prone to paranoia and uncontrolled tearful outbursts" and was "not a reliable historian."

While noting Robinson's behaviour was not always "impeccable," the judge said it was "nothing like the extreme extent of the behaviour engaged in by Eveno".

The judge found that 20 specific incidents brought to court were examples of a "much broader course of conduct."

The judge ruled that suspending the eviction order would be "setting her up to fail" as repeat behaviour was "inevitable."

Camden Council confirmed it would only pursue Eveno for up to £15,000 in legal costs.

The council's barrister, Desmond Kilcoyne, told the court that Eveno had been offered alternative accommodation.

She can now move to another two-bedroom flat nearby that the council has been offering her for several years.

The possession order was granted alongside the costs order.
