"They don't know it yet but they're going to spend years creating their dream garden on a budget, just for their neighbours to use a spray gun on their fence and ruin it all," they wrote.
The couple shared footage showing how brown paint had sprayed through the fence slats and onto their grey stones.
The damage was extensive, affecting multiple areas of their carefully designed outdoor space.
"Not the side of the house too," they lamented in their social media post.
The paint residue covered their decking, stones, and grass, forcing them to discard some plant pots.

They even started a petition to "ban using paint spray guns on your fence if you have neighbours."
The situation worsened when, despite noticing the initial damage, the neighbour continued using the spray gun the following day.
"I shouted over the fence to stop as it's covering our garden," the woman explained.
The neighbour did come round to view the damage after being confronted, however, according to the couple, "he came round and seen the damage but then nothing further happened."
This lack of resolution was particularly frustrating as the Weir Home couple claim they had been "super careful" when painting their own side of the fence.
"We own our house & painted ours without getting permission etc. However we were super careful and took our time doing it all with a paintbrush to make sure neighbours didn't get any on their side," they shared.
The video documenting their garden disaster gained significant attention, amassing 13,000 likes on social media, with many viewers expressing sympathy for the couple's situation.

"That's so annoying! Specially when you've made it look so beautiful," commented one supporter.
Another added: "Honestly some people are sooo unaware of their surroundings."
Not everyone was sympathetic, however, with one person suggesting they were being "dramatic" about the incident.
"I mean a tiny bit dramatic, it's only a little splash by the looks of things, your garden still looks great," the commenter wrote.
The couple firmly rejected this assessment, responding: "I wish it was a splash."
