Players hoping to check their tickets should look for the winning numbers 02, 06, 10, 12, 28 and 29.

The bonus number for Saturday's draw was 57.

To win the jackpot, players need to match all six of their chosen numbers with those drawn by The National Lottery.

This marks the second major Lotto win in a week, following another lucky ticket-holder who claimed the £7.5 million jackpot on January 4.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

"What a Lotto luck already this year, as that makes it two jackpot wins in a week," Carter noted.

Players are being urged to carefully check their tickets and contact Allwyn if they believe they are Saturday's winner.

Saturday's draw also produced other significant winners, with one player scooping £350,000 in the Lotto Hotpicks game, which uses the same numbers as the main draw.

An additional 27 players matched four of the five numbers in the Lotto draw, each taking home £13,000.

The National Lottery continues to make a significant impact on communities across the UK through its weekly contributions.

"Each week, players help generate around £30 million for National Lottery-funded projects," Carter explained.

"With over 700,000 grants awarded to date, this funding touches every part of the UK.

"From supporting the arts and sports sectors to empowering local community groups and preserving iconic British landmarks, players participation makes a difference every single day."
