Drivers are being urged to follow two simple tricks in order to save hundreds of pounds on petrol. each year.
The price of petrol is continuing to soar, with one litre setting you back, on average, a whopping 188.70p, according to RAC Fuel Watch.
While those needing diesel will have to pay on average 196.06p per litre to fill up their tank.

But there are two simple ways people can save money on petrol as the cost-of-living crisis continues to bite.
Motorists have been urged to fill up their tank at supermarket forecourts instead of elsewhere because of cheaper prices.
But while some have questioned whether the quality of the fuel at supermarkets, a spokesman for car dealership Peter Vardy has hit back.
He told the Express: "It’s rumoured that supermarket fuel is of a ‘lower quality’ and not the same as you would buy from a branded garage, but that’s not the reality.
“Supermarkets sell such vast quantities that operating costs are spread over higher volumes, making it cheaper to buy from than a branded forecourt.”
Motorists should also avoid filling up their tanks with premium fuels.
Some retailers say that premium fuel gives better performance and can even protect your engine.
But in most cases that is not likely to make much of a difference, unless you are in a performance vehicle.
Super unleaded also currently costs on average 200.43p per litre, according to the RAC Fuel Watch, making it almost 12p more expensive than normal petrol.
