Two Britons stabbed in horror seafront attack at popular tourist resort

Two British tourists were stabbed during a horror attack on a seafront promenade in the Moroccan resort of Agadir.
All three victims were rushed to hospital to be treated for their injuries after they were said to have suffered wounds to their legs and back.
The third victim was a Moroccan-born woman who was visiting from Belgium.
Two have since been released while a third remains under medical supervision.

After carrying out the stabbings the attacked is alleged to have attempted to swim away from the scene.
He was later caught by police and taken into custody.
It is alleged that the perpetrator has previously been jailed for drug trafficking offences.
Local media is reporting that police are investigating whether the incident is terrorist-related.
The attack took place at around midday yesterday.
The Agadir resort is well known for its golf courses and golden beaches and has become a popular holiday destination.
Over a million tourists visit the seaside city every year.
