ONS projects immigration to grow Britain’s population to 72.5million by 2032
Immigration will add 5million people to Britain’s population by 2032, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has projected.
The shocking data shows 9.91 million people immigrating long-term to the UK with 4.98 million leaving the country, swelling Britain’s total population to 72.5million, larger than France.
The projections have sparked concerns Britain’s infrastructure and public services will not be able to cope with the added strain of migrants who predominantly work low-income jobs and have more children.
Arch-immigration sceptic and Reform leader Nigel Farage reacted: "This is a complete betrayal by our political class.
“Even if we build the 1.5 million homes that Labour say they'll build, that won't even be enough to cope with the numbers coming over the next four years - let alone the backlog we have.
"You want to get a GP appointment? Forget it. It's going to get even more difficult.
"Have you noticed how clogged up the roads are? Our quality of life - for all of us - is diminishing directly as a result of the population explosion.”
GB News has crunched the numbers and can reveal the ONS projection of five million migrants moving to Britain is the equivalent of the population of Britain’s ten biggest cities doubling (barring London).

It is also the equivalent of the population of Scotland (5.4million) almost doubling, the population of Wales (3.1 million) increasing 1.6 times over, and the population of Northern Ireland (1.9million) increasing 2.6 times over.
Of course, the new migrants are projected to spread out across the UK, with England expected to see the biggest population increase (7.8 per cent) followed by Wales (5.9 per cent), Scotland (4.4 per cent) and finally Northern Ireland (2.1 per cent).

With 47 counties in England, each county would in theory need to absorb 106,382 more people, though some counties will obviously receive more than others.
The projected migrant boom will take Britain’s population density to almost 300 people per square kilometre (72.5million/242,000km squared), more than the current population density of Vietnam.
It means by 2032 Britain will be more densely populated than Thailand and Indonesia, and that takes into account their projected population changes.
The UK will also be the third most densely packed country in Europe after Belgium (second) and the Netherlands (first).
The PM's official spokesman said: “We're going to publish a White Paper to set out a comprehensive plan to end these staggeringly high migration numbers,' the Prime Minister's official spokesman said.
“As the Prime Minister has previously said, we had a supposed cap in place before and it didn't have any meaningful impact on reducing immigration.
“So he doesn't think that setting an arbitrary cap, as previous governments have done, is the best way forward in terms of significantly reducing migration.”
