Figures obtained by the campaign group reveal that one in four sex crimes are committed by foreign nationals

The founder of a new women's safety campaign has warned that mass immigration is the "biggest issue when it comes to women's safety" in modern Britain.

Jess Gill, founder of the Women's Safety Initiative, highlighted that one in four sex crimes committed in Britain are perpetrated by foreign nationals.

Discussing the launch of her campaign on GB News, Gill stated that the organisation seeks to highlight how "terrible" and "prevalent" the issue of foreign nationals sexually attacking British women is - and wants to help women share their stories and experiences.

Detailing what inspired her to start the campaign, Gill explained: "Already we've received enormous support - we've just launched, and we've received thousands of likes, impressions and follows. It's been met with incredible enthusiasm and passion.

"I thought I'd have to convince people, but because it's such a pressing issue, there's power in allowing women to share their stories. I think it's important to create a space where women can be vocal about this, to share their stories, because it's so prevalent."

Discussing the women who have spoken out on the issue, Gill added that victims of grooming gangs have also reached out to her, because they previously have "not felt comfortable" speaking out about it.

She said: "It's not just the odd comments, I've spoke to women who have experienced rape, who experienced sexual harassment, and I spoke to victims of grooming gangs who don't feel comfortable speaking out against it, and they don't even know it's an issue.

"They don't even know what the solution is. And quite frankly, I don't think a lot of these men would be doing it if they knew that the consequence would be a plane back home."

Recalling her own experiences with sexual harassment, Gill said many women experience dangerous situations with "foreign men" on a "daily basis".

Gill told GB News: "We experience this daily. We can't even go on a picnic, we can't even walk around the streets without getting stared at, without getting followed, without having men having making inappropriate comments at us every single day.

"I've had someone make inappropriate comments at me just for leaving the house, regardless of what I'm wearing. And when I speak out about this, my friends are saying the same - every woman I've spoken to has had similar experiences, and I know it might not be politically correct to say, but it is foreign men.

"And I think when it comes to women's safety, that should be held first, not political correctness."

When pressed by host Matt Goodwin on why foreign nationals may want to commit such crimes against women, Gill claimed that they are coming from "culturally different" countries, where women are "not respected" in the same way they are in Britain.

Gill concluded: "It naturally has to be a cultural difference, because at the end of the day, they're coming from countries which do not respect women. Me and my friend Elizabeth went out for a picnic the other week, and on the way there, I had a man consistently beep his horn and stare at me when I was just walking across the pavement.

"We had a man sit next to us for 15 minutes and stare at us while we're at the park, even though there's loads of space around us. Deliveroo drivers are also making inappropriate comments at us."

She added: "So even when we can't go out for a simple picnic, enjoy the sunny weather, I think that really shows how terrible the issue is and how prevalent it is."
