French authorities also confirmed they rescued more than 50 migrants when their boats got into difficulties in several separate incidents off the French coast.
The French coastguard said that although some migrants agreed to be rescued, the majority of those on the boats refused assistance and continued their illegal journey across the Channel.
The latest arrivals take the number of migrants who have crossed this year to 8,061.
The figure is more than 46 per cent higher than the numbers who had crossed at this point last year.

The new figures make grim reading for the Prime Minister, who vowed the Labour Government would smash the criminal gangs and end the trade in small boat crossings.
Instead, record numbers are continuing to make the dangerous journey, with this year's figure at the highest point in April since the Channel migrant crisis began in 2018.
More than 31,000 migrants have now crossed from France since Labour came to power last July.
A Home Office spokesperson said: "We all want to end dangerous small boat crossings, which threaten lives and undermine our border security.

“The people-smuggling gangs do not care if the vulnerable people they exploit live or die, as long as they pay and we will stop at nothing to dismantle their business models and bring them to justice.
“That’s why this government has put forward a serious, credible plan to finally restore order to our asylum system, including tougher enforcement powers, ramping up returns to their highest levels for more than half a decade and a major crackdown on illegal working to end the false promise of jobs used by gangs to sell spaces on boats.”
