The French Navy have been requesting for UK Border Force to return life jackets which were loaned to illegal migrants crossing the Channel, shock new audio has revealed.
In a new audio recording, communications between Border Force officials and the French Navy have been exposed - with the officials arranging a "return" of the migrant life jackets to the French.
Calling to a French warship, Border Force's Typhoon tells the officials: "We can arrange to return your life jackets. Can you confirm how many are on board?"
As the French Navy confirm 34 migrants are on board, they claim they will "be able to give them life jackets".

The communications continue, as Border Force declares that "once everyone is on board", they will "return the life jackets" to the French - "either by our rib or by yours".
The French Navy also confirmed that the life jackets given to the migrants were "all theirs", as they made the crossing to Britain.
The Border Force representative then responded: "That’s all understood. I’ll make contact when complete rescue to return the life jackets."
The French thanked the Border Force for their cooperation in the operation, closing the conversation: "Thank you for your corporation."

Britain is continuing to see record numbers of migrants crossing the Channel from France, a new data revealed a record 7,000 small boat migrants have arrived so far this year.
In a recent GB News investigation, a total of 428 Channel migrants were counted as they were brought to the Border Force migrant processing centre at Dover harbour throughout the day.
The latest arrivals documented by the People's Channel takes the total number of migrants who have made the illegal journey this year to more than 7,200.
The current figure for this year is now 33 per cent higher than the 5,435 who crossed from France at the same point last year.

GB NEWSDiscussing the audio on GB News, Home and Security Editor Mark White said that migrants who "refuse to wear life jackets" when making the journey across the Channel "will get one anyway from the French".
He asked: "In giving them life jackets, are you actually enabling more migrants to think that they can embark on the journey?"
In a further blow to the Labour Government, Home Office data also revealed that just five people have been convicted of piloting small boats across the English Channel this year.
In a statement, a Home Office spokesman said: "Since January 1 2025, CFI Immigration Enforcement have convicted 17 individuals for piloting a small boat, including five who committed the offence in 2025. In 2024, 64 individuals were convicted."
