Albanian burglar who returned to Britain after being deported twice taunts Home Office from London nightclub

The convicted criminal included the message: "Happy New Year Everyone!... Wish the best for all!"

Puka, who has previously served jail time for burglaries, is currently unable to be deported as he has claimed asylum, leaving the Home Office powerless until his case is fully considered.

While he evades deportation, the burglar has flaunted his lifestyle on social media, posting videos of himself driving a £300,000 Ferrari through London streets.

His TikTok and Instagram accounts showcase images of multiple Rolex watches and expensive cars.

In another provocative move, Puka also mocked Reform UK leader Nigel Farage by sharing a photo of himself dining with a photoshopped image of the Clacton MP giving a thumbs up.

Farage responded by describing Puka as a "proper wrong'un" who was "walking all over" British authorities.

The Albanian has also shared footage of his holiday at the Carbis Bay Hotel near St Ives, Cornwall, showing himself walking on the beach with his electronic tag visible.

Puka was first jailed in 2016 for nine months after attempting to break into a property, which the owner spotted via webcam while on holiday in France.

After his 2017 deportation, he managed to return to the UK within a year - before committing multiple burglaries across suburban London.

He was caught wearing a stolen watch by plain-clothes police in Surbiton, leading to a three-and-a-half-year sentence and second deportation in March 2020.

While in prison, Puka used a smuggled mobile phone to post Instagram pictures of himself with an organised crime group leader who was serving 12 years for cocaine supply and money laundering.

By December 2020, after travelling through several European countries, he had re-entered Britain.

Albanian reports suggest Puka has been staying in a £250,000 two-bed terraced flat in Hounslow, west London, though his funding sources remain unclear.

A Home Office spokesman said: "Foreign nationals who commit crimes should be in no doubt that the law will be enforced. Mr Puka has been deported by the UK before. It is UK law that we cannot deport individuals where there are claims or representations still awaiting decision."

However, Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp added: "This convicted serial criminal should be immediately deported. Any asylum claim - very likely to be completely bogus - should be heard on an expedited basis."
