GB News can reveal that 300 migrants have crossed the Channel in small boats over the last two days
Around 80 people have arrived in Dover after being intercepted by border force vessels today.
Yesterday, official figures showed that 218 people arrived on 6 small boats.
This morning the UK coastguard was involved in a rescue operation after reports of an incident involving small boats off the Kent coast.
A Maritime and Coastguard Agency spokesperson said: “HM Coastguard has been coordinating a search and rescue response to an incident involving small boats off Kent, working with Border Force and other partners.
Dover RNLI lifeboat was tasked along with an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and the coastguard helicopter from Lydd, further assistance was provided by nearby vessels and Border Force.
HM Coastguard will continue to work with search and rescue partners to respond to those in distress around the seas and coastal areas of the UK."
