Metropolitan Police officers were involved in a clash with flag-waving protesters yesterday as groups gathered in Whitehall to mark St George’s Day
Managing director of the Public Safety Foundation Oliver Lawrence has slammed the Met Police for their "soft approach" toward Palestine protesters compared to the "aggressive" approach to St Georges Day marchers.
Met Police clashed with the public in London, and the footage has been branded a double standard.
Footage shared by Scotland Yard showed around a dozen officers holding back a group of nationalists but around seven managed to break through.
The Metropolitan Police, who confirmed six demonstrators were arrested, issued a statement about the incident after separate clips circulated on social media.
