Meghan Markle was always after an English boyfriend and dreamed of being on reality show Made in Chelsea, her former friend has claimed.
Speaking on GB News, TV personality Lizzie Cundy told presenter Nigel Farage how she met the Duchess of Sussex at a charity event where she made the confessions.
Lizzie said: "I didn’t know who she was at the time and John Caudwell said 'Can you sit next to this girl, she’s flown in from Canada?'
"I wanted to be with my mates, but John told me to look after her.

"We got on really well and she said she wanted to find an English Boyfriend and I said I’ll help you."
Lizzie continued: "She loved being here in London, she wanted to work here and she wanted to be in Made in Chelsea - I remember her saying she loved the show.
"She was a really good, fun girl."
The reality series Meghan allegedly wanted to be a part of follows 20-year-olds living luxury lives in some of London's most exclusive postcodes.
Nigel asked Lizzie about her relationship with Meghan now.
She explained how after Meghan married Prince Harry in 2018, she was ghosted, but said she understood the decision.
Meghan and Harry now live in California after they stepped back from royal duties in early 2020.
The couple made their most recent public at this week's Invictus Games in The Hague, Netherlands.
They spent Easter Sunday morning at the athletics track and were in the front row for the sitting volleyball as the first full day of competition began.
A camera crew filming for a Netflix documentary called Heart Of Invictus – a series from Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Productions following people competing at the event – has been seen close to the couple since they arrived at the games on Friday.
On both Saturday and Sunday, a drone could be seen hovering above events that the couple were at.
The pair signed a multimillion-pound deal with streaming giant Netflix in 2020.
