Detectives have released a CCTV image of two people following a “high value theft” from a Sainsbury’s supermarket store in Altrincham.
Greater Manchester Police claimed numerous cosmetic items were reported stolen at 5pm on February.
The haul was estimated to have cost as much as £2,500.
Two people who could have vital information about the incident were pictured on CCTV cameras at the supermarket.

Other witnesses have also been urged to come forward with information.
A Greater Manchester Police Trafford spokesperson said: “Police are now appealing to the public for help and have released a CCTV image of two individuals they would like to speak to as they may be able to assist officers with their enquiries.
“Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to get in touch, as any evidence or detail could greatly assist the investigation.”
Information could be passed on to police by calling 101.

More than 402,000 offences were recorded in the year to September 2023, up from 304,459 in the previous 12 months.
It is the first time since current records began in 2002 that the number recorded by police has risen higher than 400,000, data compiled by the Office for National Statistics has shown.
The previous peak was witnessed in the year to March 2018 when the figure soared to 382,643.
