A second Greater Manchester Police officer has been put under criminal investigation for assault after a physical altercation at Manchester Airport last month.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct also announced the officer is being investigated for potential gross misconduct for alleged breaches of police professional standards, including their use of force.
The first officer was informed of facing a criminal investigation on July 26, just three days after the incident at Manchester Airport.
He was suspended after kicking and stamping on Fahir Amaaz.
Greater Manchester Police claimed the firearms officers were subject to a "violent" attack while trying to make an arrest at terminal two.
Four men were arrested for assault and affray, with one police officer even sustaining a broken nose.
The altercation led to two nights of protests in Rochdale and Manchester.
The IOPC said part of the investigation will look into the force used against three members of the public - two men and a woman - who were part of the initial incident, during which the two men were arrested.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:It will also look into the force used during an incident shortly after, during which two men were arrested and one of the individuals was pepper sprayed.
The second criminal investigation comes after the lawyer representing the two men claimed an officer called Fahir Amaaz a "dirty f*****g c**t".
Aamer Anwar claimed that after the brothers were arrested and handcuffed, one GMP officer kneeled next to Amaad to say: “You dirty f*****g c**t, you think you can hit my officers, I am going to kill you when I see you, in my uniform or out."
Greater Manchester Police referred to previous statements it published about the incident.

Those included claims that armed officers at the scene feared the brothers were trying to steal their weapons.
Armed officers initially laid down their guns in solidarity with the first officer.
A source close to the firearms unit told The Sun: "There is real anger at the way this has been handled and they didn’t feel they could safely carry their weapons after the officer was suspended."
Colleagues also believe the officer was "disorientated" from being punched in the face amid fear his gun had also been taken.
