Christian Brueckner is serving a seven-year jail term for raping a pensioner in 2005

A former friend of Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner has issued six words to the paedophile.

Brueckner is currently on trial in Braunschweig, Germany, accused of more rapes and indecently exposed himself to children in Portugal between 2000 and 2017.

Christian Post, a former friend of Brueckner, has warned the German paedophile will continue to be a danger to others.

He told The Mirror that the prospect of him being allowed out is "scary". He gave taped evidence last December that will be screened at Brueckner’s trial next week

Post, who believes Brueckner kidnapped Madeleine, said: "I pray he is never released."

"Knowing what I know now, about his crimes, I don’t think he should be back in society. When we were friends I didn’t know about the sex and children stuff, but he is clearly dangerous...If it helps convict Christian, it was worth it."

The German IT expert, who lives in Cambodia, met Brueckner when they were both drifters in the Algarve.

He told the Mirror in 2022 that his pal boasted of burgling holiday flats in the area.

One of Brueckner’s alleged crimes took place just weeks before Madeleine vanished from Praia da Luz in May 2007 aged three, it is claimed.

He denies any involvement in her disappearance.

Madeleine, from Rothley, Leicestershire, was on holiday with her family at the Ocean Club in Praia da Luz, Portugal when she went missing on May 3, 2006. In the weeks that followed, Portuguese police said they believe Madeleine was abducted but is still alive and in Portugal.

In June 2006, a Portuguese police chief admitted vital forensic clues may have been destroyed as the scene was not protected properly.

Christian Brueckner is currently on trial for accusations of rape of an Irish 20-year-old, an elderly woman in her late 50s or 60s, and a young teenage girl.

The two latter cases are claimed to have been filmed in a small farmhouse close to where Madeleine McCann disappeared in May 2007.

The other two charges relate to the alleged sexual assault of a young German girl, 10, one month prior to Madeleine's disappearance and an alleged.
