A huge fire has engulfed an electrical substation in London as smoke billowed for miles across the capital.
Fifteen fire engines and around 100 firefighters were summoned to the scene to tackle the blaze in the north west of the city in Maida Vale.
Locals have been advised to keep their doors and windows closed.
After tackling the flames, firefighters have found that an electrical transformer was alight which is now under control.
They are still working to fully extinguish the flames.
On Tuesday morning, London Fire Brigade spokesman said: "Two fire engines and around 10 firefighters have been called to a fire at an electrical substation on Victoria Passage in Westminster.

"Crews are on scene extinguishing the fire. There is a considerable amount of smoke which is making it a very visible fire. The Brigade's 999 Control officers have received around 40 calls alerting them to the blaze.
"The Brigade was called at 5.29am and is still on scene. Fire crews from Paddington and Euston fire stations are in attendance. The cause of the fire is not known at this stage."
Photos and videos from the scene show a group of firefighters tackling the blaze.
It is not yet known what was the cause of the fire.

"An electrical transformer is alight. Part of the roof of a neighbouring residential building is also alight," the brigade said.
A Met Police spokesman said: "At 05:42hrs on Tuesday April 29 we were alerted by the London Fire Brigade to a fire at an electricity substation in Victoria Passage, Maida Vale.
"Officers responded to support the emergency response which has required a number of nearby buildings to be evacuated. We remain on the scene in support of the London Fire Brigade working alongside partners including the local authority.
"At an appropriate point, firefighters will be able to give an initial view of the potential cause, but for now the priority of all those involved in the response is tackling the fire and ensuring the safety of people in the surrounding area."
Station Commander Paul Morgan, who is at the scene, said: "This is a very visible fire and there is lots of smoke. Residents are advised to keep their windows and doors shut."
The emergency services were called at 5.29am and remain on the scene.
Fire crews from Paddington and Euston remain at the scene.
There have been no reports of any injuries while around 100 people have been evacuated from nearby buildings and a rest centre has been set up by the council.
The incident comes weeks after travel chaos for people all over the world after Heathrow airport shut down for the day following a fire in a nearby station.
Thousands of journeys were cancelled or diverted, leaving tens of thousands stranded.
In total, more than 1,300 flights were axed.
