'Devastating' Scottish wildfires 'will burn for DAYS' as spring heat leaves charred landscapes in its wake

A fire has broken out at Liverpool Central Station, with the station and shops inside being evacuated as plumes of smoke rise from the area.
Fire crews were called to the station at 4.38pm and arrived on the scene just five minutes later.
Shops inside the building, including Greggs, KFC, and Sainsbury’s, have also been evacuated.
A statement from Merseyside Fire & Rescue said: "Fire crews have been called to a fire at a loading bay for shops located at Central Station, Ranelagh St, Liverpool, this afternoon.

"Crews were alerted at 4.38pm and on scene at 4.43pm, with three fire engines and the search and rescue team in attendance.
"Crews arrived to find an external building at ground level to the rear of the station involved in a fire. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire which remained contained to the loading bay."
The fire service said that the blaze was extinguished by 5.18pm and that firefighters remain on the scene.
British Transport Police are also at the scene, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The location where the blaze broke out has not been confirmed by officials, though evacuated workers say it began in the loading bay of Sainsbury's.
No trains are currently calling at the station, Merseyrail has confirmed.
The rail network said on X: "The fire is outside of the station, however the station has been evacuated whilst the fire brigade are on site dealing with the fire.
"Passengers should use Moorfields or Liverpool Lime Street until Liverpool Central can be used again.
