Reform MP Lee Anderson has called out Labour donor Dale Vince for a debate in Ashfield.
Escalating his feud with the former Just Stop Oil backer, Anderson accused Vince of ‘spouting pollution’ with his words.
He told Patrick Christys on GB News: “The only pollution here is Dale Vince’s nonsense which he spouts out on a daily basis.
“This eco-loon. How much money has he made in the last 30 years from renewables? I bet he’s made absolutely millions of pounds.

“He’s got a vested interest in this net zero nonsense. The people that I associate with in Ashfield, my constituents, my friends and family, they have to worry about paying their energy bills.
“This person doesn’t have to worry about a thing. He’s probably got millions of pounds in the bank.

“He makes a fortune out of this net zero. He needs to shut up or come to Ashfield.”
He went on to extend an invite to Vince for him to appear on GB News for a net zero showdown.
“I tell you what Patrick, I’ll invite him onto your show”, he said.
“Come to Ashfield, to one of the miners’ welfares and speak to some real people about their energy bills.”

PALee Anderson took to X to show off his electric lawnmower

Asked by Patrick Christys to confirm whether he would be willing to appear alongside Dale Vince on GB News in a net zero debate, Anderson doubled down.
“Let’s have him up here”, he said.
“Bring some vegans with you as well.”
The ex-Tory Party Deputy Chairman is at loggerheads with the Ecotricity founder after he took to X, formerly Twitter, to show off his electric lawnmower, saying it’s an example of ’net zero at its finest’.
Anderson pointed out that charging up the device utilises the Radcliffe power station, which is ‘about 10 miles down the road and runs on gas and sometimes coal’.
He argued that it shows how much of a ‘nonsense’ net zero is, an assertion Vince disputed, arguing the Reform MP has ‘no idea’ what net zero even means.
“Your lawnmower is not an example of that [net zero]”, he said.
“Britain’s grid is 50 per cent renewable now - that’s the better measure of what is powering your battery-powered gift.
“Even if you were using power straight from Radcliffe, that’s three to four times more fuel efficient than a tiny lawnmower engine is - and there’s no noise or air pollution for your neighbours - other than you spouting off of course.”
