Lee Anderson has reacted with fury to Angela Rayner’s comments blasting Tories after she said they were "a bunch of scum" that are "homophobic, racist, misogynistic".
Speaking on Dan Wootton Tonight, the Conservative Deputy Chair and GB News presenter hit out at the Deputy Labour Leader.
“I think she's the new Diane Abbott with that clip on there that. I mean seriously, anybody watching that clip would be frightened to death of her being the Deputy Prime Minister.
“I wouldn't trust that Lady to look after a bottle of milk for the weekend. I mean it is staggering. I mean she got no answers. She’s just, honestly, we need professional people in this country running this country, and that just proves beyond any reasonable doubt she's not fit for office.”
Anderson continued: “It shows what she really thinks. Because when you use those words, it shows what you really think about, you know, people like me in the Conservative party, my colleagues.
“It's not just us, Dan. It's people like my parents who voted Conservative the first time, my friends, my family, lots of people in this country vote Conservative. And when you're labelling them as scum, you're sort of telling half the country that you don't want them, you don't want them on board, you don't believe what they say, you treat them as third class citizens.
“It is a nasty wing Dan a bit. But that's the argument that some of the Labour Party use most of the time. You are the racist, you are homophobic, you’re transphobic. That's all they've got to offer. They've got no answers to the economy, no answers to the migration problem, no answers to anything. Everyone's a racist.”
