A children's play park has been placed on lock down after a teenage boy was stabbed in broad daylight.
Armed police rushed to Medway Park Sports Centre on Mill Hill Road in Gillingham, Kent following reports of a stabbing.
Around eight police vehicles, including two armed response vehicles, arrived on Mill Road at around 5pm.
Following the incident, forensic officers have been spotted taking photographs and collecting samples in the play park.

One witness claims that the teenager was taken away via air ambulance.
"The air ambulance landed on the park off Mill Road. There were a bunch of police units there, including two armed police vehicles and armed officers," they told KentOnline.
"There was also an ambulance and a critical care paramedic. It looked like a patient was flown to hospital."
A Kent Police spokesperson said: "Kent Police was called to a report of an assault in Mill Road, Gillingham at 5.05pm on Monday 15 May 2023.
"Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a teenage boy was taken to a London hospital with injuries consistent with a stab wound.
"Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and anyone with information who has yet to speak to officers should call the Medway appeal line on 01634 792209, quoting reference 15-1098.
