A woman has been placed under curfew for three months after keying several cars parked on the pavement because she was “feeling menopausal”.
Sue Williams scratched as many as eight cars belonging to strangers while walking around her local neighbourhood in Sevenoaks, Kent.
Williams is believed to have caused at least £8,000 in damages to the cars including a Mercedes and a Range Rover.
The 62-year-old’s only explanation was that she was “feeling menopausal”.

The court was told that Williams targeted parked cars that had at least to wheels on the pavement.
She is reported to have scratched the vehicles the entire length of their side panels.
Her scratching spree began on March 18, 2022, when she keyed a Seat Tarrao and caused £2,776.68 of damage to the vehicle.
She later passed a black Ford Fiesta which she also scratched before targeting a silver Peugeot Partner van.
A few days later on March 26, she keyed a Mercedes, a blue mini and a Vauxhall Mokka causing a combined £3,226.66 in damages.

Later the same day she took her keys to a Fiat 500 and a Range Rover Vogue.
Williams was charged with eight counts of criminal damage for her actions and admitted to all offences when she appeared in court on August 14.
She was later sentenced on October 25 in Medwar Magistrates’ Court.
Dylan Bradshaw, prosecuting, said: “The police were called on March 18 at about 4.20pm to a report a large scratch had been made along the entire length of the Seat and the offender was ID'd as the defendant.

“Then there was another report and the Focus had also been keyed and there was a large scratch along the driver's side.”
Magistrates were told that the damages totalled over £8,000 but that because some owners had already claimed the damage on their insurance, the total cost was not known.
Defending Williams, Stewart Lewis, said his client had no previous convictions and that the reason she keyed the vehicles was because she may have been menopausal.
“It's not been identified as such, but something happened in her mind to damage the vehicles,” he said.
“A substantial amount of damage was done.
“They were all parked on the pavement and it restricts people walking on the pavement.
“They have to go in the road to go around the vehicle.”
During her sentencing, magistrates told Williams she would be placed under curfew for three months and has also been ordered to remain indoors between 8pm-6am.
She was also issued with a compensation order as the vehicle owners were forced to pay out for the repairs themselves or would be forced to pay more on their insurance policies.
Magistrates ordered the woman to pay back £4,500 to the owners, with three being awarded £500 and the other five awarded £600.
Lewis told the court that Williams’s husband would cash in his pension in order to pay back the damages.
