Keir Starmer reaffirms ‘unwavering determination’ to stand with Ukraine after Zelensky’s clash with Trump

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky share warm words in Downing Street as they meet just one day after the latter’s feisty clash with Donald Trump.

The row, which played out in front of the cameras, saw Zelensky stand accused of lacking gratitude to the US for their role in Ukraine’s efforts to stave off Russia.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed Britain’s support for Ukraine, which has been a constant since Vladimir Putin launched his invasion in 2022.
