The pressure comes as more migrants crossed the English Channel on Christmas Day
GB News presenter Patrick Christys has launched a blistering attack on Keir Starmer, questioning the Labour leader's credibility over his past legal career explanations.
Speaking on GB News, Patrick challenged Starmer's frequent defence of his controversial legal cases through the "cab rank rule".
He said: "I wonder, with Keir Starmer, about his track record as a lawyer.
"It was quite interesting, I was discussing this with some friends recently. One of them is a lawyer and I was asking about this cab rank rule.

"Starmer gets away with saying that he's managed to represent some of the world's biggest wrong-uns by the cab rank rule. Saying that he didn't have a choice, he had to do it.
"I was having a chat with a lawyer, who I won't name now, he's quite high profile.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
"He was saying that's not actually really accurate because if you're any good as a lawyer, you can talk your way out of it.
"Just say things like I'm going on holiday this time because my auntie is in the country and my workload is a bit much, which I think does cast some doubt on whether or not Keir Starmer really wanted to represent those people.
"That is why I think now people look at the immigration situation they think, hang on a minute, do you actually want to get tough on it?
"There is a lack of believability, he's lied his way into Downing Street. Some people would say."

PAThe presenter's comments come as Starmer faces mounting pressure over his stance on immigration policy.
Around 35 Labour MPs from pro-Brexit constituencies have formed a new pressure group called the Red Wall Caucus, urging Sir Keir Starmer to be more vocal on immigration.
The group, representing seats in the North and Midlands, warns they risk losing their constituencies to Reform unless Starmer proves he is tough on immigration.

Jonathan Hinder, Labour MP for Pendle and Clitheroe, said: "The British people want our borders secure and net migration brought down after the Tories totally lost control."
Another MP from the group stressed the importance of communication: "I feel that we can be better. I feel that we've come into Government focusing on doing the job, rather than on how we inform people of what we're doing."
