Passengers on a Jet2 flight have been left “traumatised” after rowdy holiday-makers were “shouting, swearing and drinking” on their plane to Ibiza.
John Williams, 50, was travelling to the popular Spanish island with his wife, and two children, to celebrate his daughter’s birthday on July 13.
However, the flight is alleged to have soon descended into chaos when a group of around 40 passengers began standing up and causing disorder 25 minutes after the aircraft took off from Birmingham Airport.
The disruptive group ignored safety signs to fasten seatbelts and began walking up and down the aisle, whilst a member of staff seemingly praised the behaviour by calling the plane a “fun bus”.

“A flight attendant working called it a fun bus,” he claimed when speaking to Birmingham Live.
“Over 30 passengers used the flight as a party; drinking excessively, swearing, shouting, throwing items down the aisle, blocking other passengers.
“Basically the flight attendants did nothing to stop the disruptive dangerous behaviour. Even to the point where the seat belt lights were on and still they partied and still the staff did nothing the stop the behaviour.”
Williams slammed the crew for continuing to enable the disruptive behaviour by serving alcohol to the rowdy passengers, a move he branded as “absolutely disgusting”.

Upon landing in Ibiza, he reached out to Jet2 to describe his ordeal who said that they would look into the matter. In a follow up call on July 24, the 50-year-old was told he would have to wait up to 28 days for a response.
In May, an EasyJet pilot was forced to halt the plane from taking off after 30 drunken passengers caused a major disruption onboard.
Police were summoned to the departure gate of the Malaga bound flight at Bristol airport, after a large group of young men refused to sit down and insisted on using the toilet during take-off.

GettyThe flight had already been delayed by an hour in the terminal, and passengers then had to wait another hour for the ejected passengers to collect their bags from the plane.
One passenger reported that everyone cheered when the last of the disruptive young men retrieved his items and was escorted off the plane.
The budget airline said that they are taking the incident “very seriously” and said they “do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour on board”.
