A couple's "dream" holiday to Lanzarote was cancelled just 35 minutes before their flight was due to depart - leaving the pair heartbroken in Leeds airport.
Jon and Judi Saunders were set for a relaxing week in Costa Teguise when their Jet2 package holiday was abruptly called off after severe flooding at the destination.
The popular holiday spot had been hit by heavy rain the day before their journey, causing destruction to properties and vehicles across the region.
Jon, 54, and Judi, 55, received the disappointing news via email at 1.55pm while waiting at the airport.

Judi, who works as a teacher, told the Daily Star that she was "very upset", recounting how customer services cut her off on three occasions which "really wound [her] up".
Meanwhile, Jon noted the service was inconsistent across the board, speculating that the issue lay more with specific individuals rather than the whole company.
Nevertheless, couple hit out at the lack of communication from Jet2 about the situation.
"As soon as we saw the floods on the news, we understood but why do we need to find that out? It was just communication," Judi complained.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
"It was 35 minutes' notice and the floods were yesterday, not today. They could have told me last night, especially when you have to pay £14 to go in and out of the airport because of the parking charges," she added.
The couple had already checked in their luggage onto the plane and had to wait for it to be removed.
With their holiday plans ruined, the pair have made alternative arrangements for their week off.
Judi plans to volunteer locally in Bradford, while Jon is set to go back to work.

A spokesman from Jet2holidays confirmed they had "no choice but to cancel a small number of holidays" due to severe weather in Lanzarote, affecting holidays due to hotels being "temporarily closed due to the impact of these adverse conditions".
They added: "Unfortunately, this includes Mr and Mrs Saunders' holiday as, despite our best efforts, we were unable to source an alternative hotel at such incredibly short notice due to a shortage of accommodation.
"We contacted Mr and Mrs Saunders to let them know as soon as we learned of this, and to let them know their options which include rebooking or a full refund.
"Although this situation is completely outside of our control, we would of course like to offer our sincere apologies to Mr and Mrs Saunders."
