Israeli and Middle East expert David Mencer entered into a fiery debate over Israel’s actions in the war against terrorist group Hamas, and the best way to face that threat.
Mencer joined Mark Longhurst and Pip Tomson on The Live Desk, as he discussed the atrocities waged on Israel by Hamas.
He said: “This last chapter of Israel’s battle against genocidal death cult Hamas started when 1,400 of my people, unarmed innocent people on a Jewish holiday, were mercilessly massacred in scenes which are actually worse than the Nazis did.”
“Those rockets you’re talking about are aimed at me. They’re aimed at my family. They’re aimed at my people. They’re targeted at civilian areas, designed specifically to kill as many people as they possibly can.”
“The Nazis tried hard to hide their crimes. Hamas on the other hand live-streamed their crimes. This is the barbarity of the enemy we are facing.”

Mark Longhurst brought attention to Israel’s own strikes against Gaza and the innocent Palestinian civilians caught in the crossfire.
Mencer hit back: “The address for criticism about civilians being harmed in Gaza should go directly to Hamas. Not to Israel. Poverty in the Gaza Strip should be directly attributable to Hamas.
“Gaza should look like Monaco with the amount of aid which has been pouring into that strip. The poor people living in Gaza are poor because of Hamas.
“They have problems with their water supply because water pipes donated by the international community were dug up to be used as missiles to fire at my people!”

Pip asked Mencer when he could see peace being achieved, to which he replied “I see peace happening when Hamas are obliterated. Then peace talks can begin.”
Pip expressed doubts the group could be entirely eliminated, and that their ideology might persist past the group’s lifespan.
The Israeli expert hit back, adding: “I don’t think you’re listening to me. Israel has suffered the most heinous crime. All right thinking people demand that this genocidal bunch of murderers are obliterated from the face of the earth, and believe you me, it will happen.”
Pip assured Mencer that she was listening but again asked if Hamas could be entirely wiped out, and whether negotiation might not still be possible.

“Israel has been shocked by this attack, extremely unsettled. These are scenes which we never thought we’d see again. Believe me, this will be the last chapter of Hamas.”
Mencer offered a final warning to Britons, saying: “We are facing it here in Israel but the people of Britain should know as well that this enemy will not stay here between Gaza and Israel. It will come to you soon if this barbarity is not stopped.”
“In the words of King David ‘There is a time for peace and a time for war’, and right now it’s time to obliterate Hamas. To obliterate this evil from the Earth.”
