Insulate Britain clampdown as 56 charged for M25 protests

56 people have been charged over Insulate Britain protests that took place on the M25 over three days in September.
The Metropolitan Police have said they will appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Friday April 22.
12 people were each accused of two counts of causing a public nuisance at junction 14 of the M25 on September 13 last year, and at junction 25 of the M25 on September 15.
And 50 people are charged with causing a public nuisance at junction 14 of the M25 on September 27, and will appear at the same court on April 29.
Some defendants have been charged as part of both cases.
