One person is in critical condition and seven others have been injured after a double-decker bus crashed into a railway bridge in Glasgow, causing the vehicle's roof to be torn off.
The incident took place when a First Bus service collided with the bridge on Cook Street in the Tradeston area of the city centre.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after the crash, which left some passengers "covered in blood" according to witnesses.
Five people were taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment, with one person reported to be in critical condition.

Three additional passengers were assessed at the scene before later attending hospital.
The crash happened at around 5.55pm on Saturday evening, involving a First Bus vehicle operating on the 4A route.
First Bus has confirmed one of its buses was "involved in a bridge strike incident" on Cook Street.
Several roads in the area remain closed, including Cook Street at Centre Street, Commerce Street until Wallace Street, and Salkeld Street at Cook Street.

Police Scotland are continuing their enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash, saying: "Around 5.55pm on Saturday, December 14 2024, we were called to a report of a bus crashing into a railway bridge on Cook Street.
"Emergency services attended and five people were taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment."
Meanwhile, a spokesman for First Bus said on Sunday: "I can confirm that one of our 4A service buses in Glasgow was involved in a bridge strike incident on December 14 around 6pm, in which a double-decker bus hit a railway bridge on Cook Street.
"We’re aware that ten people were injured, with five people being taken to hospital in an ambulance. We have launched an immediate investigation and are also assisting Police Scotland with their enquiries."

Reports have claimed that the bus was travelling down the wrong road when the incident occurred.
Rail services between Glasgow Central and Cardonald were temporarily suspended as a result of the collision but have since reopened.
Following the incident, motorists have been advised to avoid the area while emergency services remained at the scene.
However, the road has now reopened, allowing drivers full access.
