The Television and Radio Industries Club Awards are voted for by the public

GB News has been nominated in four categories at the annual Television and Radio Industries Club (TRIC) Awards, it was announced today.

Camilla Tominey’s moving interview with Alastair Stewart, in which he revealed details of his vascular dementia diagnosis, is shortlisted for Interview of the Year.

Camilla faces competition from Louis Theroux Interviews Dame Joan Collins; Ken Bruce Interviews Noel Gallagher and Piers Morgan Uncensored: PM and the PM.

GB News Breakfast is in line for Best News Programme - an award they won last year.

The GB News Breakfast team, made up of Eamonn Holmes, Isabel Webster, Stephen Dixon, Anne Diamond and Ellie Costello, is up against BBC Breakfast; BBC News At Six, and Good Morning Britain.

Eamonn is shortlisted for News Presenter of the Year as is Nigel Farage, who stepped away from his GB News prime-time programme last month after announcing he was standing as a candidate in Clacton.

Susanna Reid and Matt Chorley complete the shortlist for the News Presenter category.

Commenting on the nominations, GB News’ Editorial Director, Mick Booker, said: “These awards are another sign of the unstoppable growth of the People’s Channel.

A TRIC Award nomination is particularly special as it is voted for by the public.

GB News is incredibly grateful to everybody who took time to vote and we’re hugely proud of everyone who has been shortlisted.”

The TRIC awards - now in their 55th year - will take place at Grosvenor House on Park Lane in London on Tuesday, June 25th.

They are expected to attract an audience of more than 1,000 guests from across the TV and media industry, with the ceremony also available to the general public to stream live.
