Eamonn Holmes has said GB News would be "shut out from other industry awards" as with Breakfast secured another TRIC Award nomination.
GB News Breakfast has been nominated for Best News Programme at the annual awards, while national reporter Charlie Peters has been shortlisted for Best News Presenter.
Speaking about the nomination, Eamonn Holmes said: "It is the long list we're on at the moment for best news programme.
"And how could you argue against that? This all depends on you guys. Whoever is listening, whoever is watching all of this.

"This is the great thing because we know with other awards that are given out, we wouldn't stand a chance because the industry just wouldn't allow us through the front door. We say it as it is here.
"You can have a vote, you can have your say, and there's nothing they can do about it."

The GB News Breakfast team includes Eamonn Holmes, Stephen Dixon, Anne Diamond and Ellie Costello.
They face competition from 11 other programmes in their category.
These competitors include established shows such as BBC Breakfast, Channel 4 News and Good Morning Britain.

Charlie Peters earned his nomination following his critical investigation into the grooming gangs scandal across Britain.
His work included presenting the documentary "Grooming Gangs: Britain's Shame."
GB News’ Editorial Director, Mick Booker, said: "The ever-growing popularity of The People’s Channel is recognised in these two award nominations.
"These are voted for by the public, so a TRIC award nomination is particularly special.
